Esquire France marks the 25th edition of the brand, and will be headed by former Vogue Hommes editor-in-chief Bruno Danto.

PUBLISHED: Sep 24, 2025

Hearst Magazines International and Bruno Danto announce the launch of Esquire France, a new quarterly edition of the iconic magazine, scheduled to debut in Spring 2026, alongside the launch of the website and social channels. With a focus on fashion, sport and lifestyle, the publication will combine original content created for a French audience, including the Monaco and St. Barth markets, with Esquire’s signature world-class journalism and photography.

The push into the French-speaking market is the latest in a series of global Esquire expansions. This year alone, Hearst Magazines International has launched or relaunched five new editions of Esquire, in Brazil, Japan, India, Vietnam and Colombia.

“It is an honor to have been chosen by Hearst Magazines International to launch in France such an iconic title, which since 1933 has featured the people who shape the world,” said Bruno Danto, Publisher and Editorial Director, Esquire France. “At a time when men’s style and luxury are exploring new territories—particularly in sport—and when brands are reinventing themselves through digital and experiential platforms, it is the ideal moment to bring Esquire to France.”

With its bold covers, thoughtful features, and investigative stories, Esquire France will continue the magazine’s 92-year tradition of combining literary depth with visual excellence, while opening a new chapter in one of the world’s most inspiring cultural landscapes. Readers will be invited to join the Esquire Club, a unique membership program that offers its community of readers, creators, and partners access to special events, cultural experiences, and private gatherings.

“For more than 90 years, Esquire has celebrated style, culture, and conversation across the globe. To now see that legacy extend to France feels both natural and exciting,” said Kim St. Clair Bodden, SVP/Global Editorial & Brand Director, Hearst Magazines International.

“Few places embody a spirit of creativity and sophistication more fully, and Esquire is eager to add its voice to that dialogue.”

Bruno Danto began his career at Le Monde and went on to become founder and editor-in-chief of Sport&Style, the pioneering fashion magazine launched in 2004 in partnership with L’Équipe and Condé Nast. He later served as editor-in-chief of Vogue Hommes International. With his own creative agency, dedicated to exploring the convergence of sport and fashion, Danto served as Chief Creative Officer of Longines Masters, Rolex Masters, Longines Global Champions. In 2023, he created the Swerve Festival in Saudi Arabia in collaboration with the Royal Commission for AlUla, bringing together global voices across sport, style, and culture.

For this project, Danto has assembled an exceptional team of partners to bring Esquire to France, through a newly formed company, Kerroc Media:

  • Youri Djorkaeff, FIFA World Champion and Founding partner, is a leading figure in the sports industry and an accomplished entrepreneur. As special advisor to the President of FIFA, he brings a unique vision at the crossroad of sports, culture and media.
  • Didier Suberbielle, former CEO of Conde Nast France and currently Chairman of Caviar Prunier, serves as a strategic advisor, bringing his expertise in brand development, premium publishing, and business transformation.
  • Ken Masui, a Paris and Tokyo based creative entrepreneur recognized for his collaboration with architect Tadao Ando. As Creative Director and investor, he brings his vision and network to the launch of Esquire France

“Paris continues to inspire the world through luxury, gastronomy, fashion, design, sport, and lifestyle,” said Danto. “Our ambition is to deliver a multiplatform media brand that speaks to the modern man who wants to be inspired, informed, and entertained by journalistic content and curated events of uncompromising quality, and that is Esquire.”
