Hearst Magazines International has announced the return of Esquire Malaysia in partnership with Heart Media Group, 15 years after it first introduced the men’s fashion and lifestyle title to the country.

The new Esquire Malaysia aims to reintroduce the aspirational stories told through the unique literary lens of Esquire, with the backing of the strong voices spanning across more than 20 of its international editions.

Esquire Malaysia will cater to the tenets of the modern, distinguished man, covering topics such as fashion, culture, food, watches, technology, and art. It will ride the confluence between traditional journalism and the ever-evolving landscape of digital media; all told through the Malaysian perspective.

“We are proud to bring Esquire back to Malaysia,” said Olivier Burlot, CEO of Heart Media Group. “The brand has always stood for discernment and character, and those values resonate strongly with Heart Media’s own philosophies. Together, we aim to highlight what it means to be a modern Malaysian, and to be the bridge between local talents, audiences, and brand partners.”

The relaunched print edition will retain Esquire’s signature focus on long-form journalism, while celebrating the written word by providing an avenue for established and upcoming Malaysian literary authors to share their perspectives.

The website and social media platforms will complement this offering with interactive and visual content—in the form of videos, infographics, and timely reports—designed for the modern consumer.

Stuart Danker joins as Editor-in-Chief, who will be overseeing all editorial operations through his diverse background in news, lifestyle, and fiction writing. “There is a huge gap in the market that only Esquire is able to fill, and it is our aim to inspire and inform this audience, mainly those who are curious about living their best lives,” said Danker.

“We’re pleased to bring Esquire back to Malaysia with Olivier and Stuart at the helm,” said Kim St. Clair Bodden, Senior Vice President/Global Editorial and Brand Director of Hearst Magazines International. “This will be a bold new chapter for the brand.”

Esquire Malaysia will launch digitally in January 2026, with its first print issue hitting newsstands in March 2026, at a frequency of 10 issues annually.
