Hearst Italy announces that Giovanni Audiffredi has been named new Editor in Chief of Men’s Health Italy, overseeing six newly designed magazine issues, its digital platform, and social media channels. The first issue under his direction, a special “25TH ANNIVERSARY” edition, is set for June 11 and features a bold new logo, inspiring a fresh direction for global editions. Alongside its leadership shift, the magazine will have a premium format with larger dimensions and superior paper quality.
According to Giacomo Moletto, the revamped Men’s Health adds to Hearst Italia’s robust portfolio, offering a unique brand dedicated to wellness, sports, and lifestyle. “This new positioning focuses on holistic well-being and life quality at a 360-degree level,” he shared.
Audiffredi, who relaunched Esquire Italia with double-digit growth in print (+74%) and digital (+37%) in 2024, will evolve Men’s Health from a fitness-centric title to a “Life Sport Magazine” that enriches its diverse sports narrative. The new vision expands its focus to embrace wellness, health, medical innovations, and nutrition, targeting a sophisticated, high-spending audience up to 55 years old who view sports as an aspirational lifestyle rather than a casual pursuit.
The new editorial team includes Fashion Director Nik Piras, Deputy Director Andrea Guerra, Photo Editor Sara Guerrini, Central Office Specialist Ilaria Chiavacci, and Multimedia Editor Tiziano Marino. Art Director Alberto Pejrano leads the visual redesign, supported by Alfiero Malossi. Under Guerra’s coordination, the digital portal Menshealth.com/it recently hit new records, reaching 2.7 million page views and 1.5 million unique monthly users.
The new Men’s Health pairs style with sport, investing in Activewear and Techwear aesthetics, elevated through high-impact fashion campaigns and visually striking editorials that highlight gear, sports watches, and modern accessories. A spotlight on the sports culture, viewed through a photographic lens, further prioritizes its visual storytelling.
Audiffredi emphasizes, “Sport remains the ultimate passion for men. It is where their personal investments, aspirations for longevity, passion for competition, and desire for well-being converge. The evolution of Men’s Health preserves its legacy as a trusted advisor and personal trainer of two generations while embracing a bold new future.”
