Harper’s BAZAAR Italia has been awarded Fashion Magazine of the Year at the Taomoda Awards 2025, one of Italy’s premier cross-sector recognitions celebrating innovation and excellence across fashion, publishing, and the arts. Celebrating Harper’s BAZAAR Italia’s editorial distinction, cultural impact, and pioneering voice within both the national and international fashion landscape, the award was presented on July 19 during a high-profile gala at the Ancient Theatre of Taormina.

The 26th edition of Taomoda Week, directed by Agata Patrizia Saccone and endorsed by the National Chamber of Italian Fashion, celebrated leading voices across journalism, sustainability, entrepreneurship, and design. The ceremony, hosted by Cinzia Malvini and featuring Ludmilla Voronkina, was attended by media, cultural institutions, and global brand leaders.

Massimo Russo, Editor-in-Chief of Harper’s BAZAAR Italia and Chief Content Officer of Hearst Italia, commented:

Our vision for Harper’s BAZAAR Italia has always extended beyond fashion. We aim to create a dynamic space—a ‘grand bazaar’—where fashion intersects with art, literature, spirituality, and culture. In today’s complex global environment, authenticity and elevated editorial quality are the most powerful assets a publication can offer.

Since its launch in December 2022, Harper’s BAZAAR Italia has garnered acclaim for its bold creative direction and superior storytelling. In July 2024, Russo assumed editorial leadership, working alongside an elite international team including Stefano Tonchi as Editorial Director and Sissy Vian as Creative Fashion Director. Recent key editorial highlights include:

  • The June 2025 “Jubilee Issue”, featuring 80 exclusive photographs by Juergen Teller, blending fashion and spirituality in a sweeping visual narrative set across Italy’s historic religious and artistic sites.
  • The March 2025 “Art & Vision” issue, which pays tribute to legendary Italian singer Mina on her 85th birthday, with original reinterpretations by artists Paolo Ventura, Elliot & Erick Jiménez, and Sasha Katz. The works premiered at Palazzo Reale in Milan.

As an official media partner of Taomada Week, BAZAAR reaffirmed its commitment to editorial innovation and investment in talent. Reflecting this strategic direction, from September 2025, the renowned creative studio M/M (Paris) will lead a new phase in design and visual storytelling, marking a bold step forward as the brand continues to elevate its standards in graphic direction, photography, and narrative vision.

This recognition represents a defining milestone for the entire Harper’s BAZAAR Italia editorial team, whose enduring passion and belief in the brand continue to drive growth, amplify audience engagement, and strengthen industry impact.
