Harper’s BAZAAR UK unveiled its inaugural Power Dinner, establishing a new flagship moment in the brand’s calendar, and honoring visionary women in the worlds of business, culture and beyond. The event took place on Wednesday 26 November at The Chancery Rosewood, presented in collaboration with headline partner Irwin Mitchell, culture partner the Caring Family Foundation and car partner Range Rover.

Bringing together readers, industry leaders and Bazaar Privé members, the evening opened with a champagne reception and networking opportunities before guests took their seats for a gala dinner hosted by Harper’s BAZAAR UK’s Editor-in-Chief, Lydia Slater. Across three courses, attendees were invited to engage with a series of conversations featuring inspirational female speakers, including:

  • The actress Adjoa Andoh, in conversation with Harper’s BAZAAR Deputy Editor Frances Hedges
  • A panel with the author and activist Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe, the film-maker Soudade Kaadan and the broadcaster turned mediator Joanna Gosling, chaired by Harper BAZAAR Editor-in-Chief Lydia Slater
  • The co-founder of the World Wide Web Foundation Rosemary Leith Berners-Lee, in conversation with Harper’s BAZAAR Special-Projects and Features Director Helena Lee

Together, these conversations reflected on the theme of power and its misuse, the strength of the female gaze, and the vital role that storytelling has to play in building the society we want.
