Hearst UK has appointed Louise Benson as Portfolio Director – Homes, overseeing Country Living UK and House Beautiful UK.
With more than 25 years’ experience in the media and creative industries, Louise has held senior roles across fundraising, marketing, communications, and digital, previously leading Lions Festivals, the Edinburgh International Television Festival, and the World Architectural Festival, and most recently serving as Development Director at The Film and TV Charity.
Starting October 6th, Louise joins at an exciting time for Hearst UK’s Homes portfolio, as Country Living and House Beautiful strengthen their market position, growing their share of the home interest market and expanding successful licensing partnerships with retailers. Key upcoming highlights before the end of the year include Good Housekeeping Live with Country Living Christmas Market, and the GH Artisan Collective programme, which provides a membership proposition for artisan and small business partners.
Liz Moseley, MD Good Housekeeping/Good Housekeeping Institute and Homes, said: “Louise is a proper entrepreneur. Creative and charismatic, she knows how to hustle in all the best ways. I can’t wait to see what she brings to these gorgeous tactile brands, working with our powerhouse editors in Saska and Torri.”
Louise commented: “Country Living and House Beautiful are such iconic brands, each with a rich heritage and deeply engaged, passionate communities. I’ve long admired both titles, and I’m excited to join at such a pivotal time in their journey. I look forward to collaborating with the hugely talented teams on this next chapter.”
