Quote has announced the appointment of Meindert Schut as its new Editor-in-Chief, effective November 1. Schut, one of the most recognizable voices in Dutch business journalism, will succeed Quote veteran Paul van Riessen.

With more than twenty-five years of experience as a journalist, broadcaster, and entrepreneur, Schut brings a sharp editorial perspective and a deep commitment to quality journalism. At BNR Nieuwsradio, he is known for presenting De Nationale Autoshow and other flagship programmes including Zakendoen, De Ochtendspits, and BNR Beurs. His extensive experience in both media and business gives him a strong foundation to guide Quote’s continued evolution across platforms.

He said, “I’m really looking forward to getting started as editor-in-chief of Quote. It’s a powerful brand that has been a household name for nearly forty years in the world of wealth, entrepreneurship, luxury, and careers.”

Schut’s appointment marks a milestone for Quote as the magazine welcomes an editor-in-chief from outside its own ranks for the first time in its forty-year history. His arrival also reinforces Quote’s unwavering dedication to in-depth, sharp, investigative journalism, which remains central to the magazine’s identity.

Under Schut’s leadership, Quote’s young, diverse, and ambitious editorial team will further broaden its reach — not only in print, but also through digital channels, podcasts, video, and social media. His goal is to foster an environment where journalistic talent can thrive and Quote’s distinctive voice can continue to innovate and resonate with new audiences.
